Vehicle Description
Here is a vintage car that you don't find often, especially with a
body that is mostly solid. This is a desirable project car that
would be an amazing vehicle when restored. For a few generations
the station wagon with a rear facing 3rd row seat was the
all-American family hauler. With the 'sporty' styling of the
Skylark and the Vista Windows this Sportwagon wan't just a sedan
with a little extra metal added to the back. This wagon is in need
of a light restoration in order to have it look presentable on the
road, although it runs and drives just fine. As far as the body
goes, there are a few weak spots behind the rear wheels underneath
the car, and a few spots in the trunk area. The upper windows are
all in good shape as well as the roof rack, but the paint is faded.
Interior is all there but much of it needs to be refinished; it has
3 bench seats with the last seat folding flat into the floor giving
a flat floor in the cargo area. The car has a 340ci "Wildcat" V8
under the hood that runs strong and a 2-speed transmission that
shifts just fine. With a little TLC this car would be a nice
example of a late '60's American family station wagon.
