original example MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present
this handsome and rarely seen 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120R
motorcycle, a true classic British enthusiast's bike that has been
in storage for a number of years! This motorcycle was part of
aninner company three bike "build off" for charity. The company is
Gas Monkey Garage, the builder of this Triumph is Jason Aker, the
shop foreman at the garage. The winner of the competition will be
determined by which builder's bike brings the most money at
auction...and will air in the season finale episode of Fast N Loud.
The Bonneville T120 was designer Edward Turner's last production
design at Triumph. The new motorcycle was conceived and developed
so quickly that it was not included in the 1959 Triumph
catalogue.Launched in 1959 by Triumph as "The Best Motorcycle in
the World", in 1968, the Bonneville T120R was aimed mainly at the
lucrative US market where enthusiasts were demanding extra
performance. Finished in dramatic Astral red and silver color
scheme (the same color combo as Steve McQueen's 1970 Bonnie!), the
paint condition is excellent and shows extremely well having been
applied by a professional automotive restorer. Both the front and
rear fenders are also finished in the same red and silver as the
tank giving a very classy and consistent look. Chrome pieces also
show extremely wellcompleting the iconic 60's era look. The black
seat is large and subtle with enough room for one or two to ride
comfortably, the seat looks great with no major signs of wear
visible.Paint and frame are exceptional with no visible evidence
of repair or damage that we could find. This recently built Triumph
features a strong 650cc engine that has be ridden sparingly, all
the bike's mechanicals have been sorted, a new set of original
equipment AMAL carburetors were added at time of restoration and
perform as they should. This extremely good looking andone of a
kindBonneville will delight even the most discerning British
motorcycle collector or enthusiast. This Bonnie is one of three
bikes competing in this contest and represents a unique opportunity
to own a featured subject on a successful TV series... and possibly
the potential winner of the competition! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!...er,
RIDE!!! Current mileage on the odometer shows 681, it is sold as is
and is mileage exempt. The motorcycle is being sold on a clean &
clear title. VIN: JD25253T120R Note: Please see full terms and
