1971 ALFA ROMEO 1750 GTV COUPE # AR1532579. (Stock #3762.) The 1750 GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce) was introduced in 1970 as a replacement for the GT Junior. As such, it offered a larger engine, revised suspension and larger disc brakes--all of which significantly improved handling and braking, and a dual circuit braking system—a significant safety improvement. . The 1.75 litre engine was a twin cam, twin Weber carburetor work of art which was adapted to s Spica fuel-injection system for cars imported into the U.S. Many of the U.S. cars, this one included, were retrofitted with the more powerful twin Weber carburetor set-up for which the cars were designed. With its 5-speed manual transmission, the 1750 GTV is very exciting to drive.
