1971 ALFA ROMEO 1750 GTV COUPE # AR1532579. (Stock #3762.) The 1750 GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce) was introduced in 1970 as a replacement for the GT Junior. As such, it offered a larger engine, revised suspension and larger disc brakes--all of which significantly improved handling and braking, and a dual circuit braking system—a significant safety improvement. . The 1.75 litre engine was a twin cam, twin Weber carburetor work of art which was adapted to s Spica fuel-injection system for cars imported into the U.S. Many of the U.S. cars, this one included, were retrofitted with the more powerful twin Weber carburetor set-up for which the cars were designed. With its 5-speed manual transmission, the 1750 GTV is very exciting to drive. Born new in Ochre yellow, this car has been refinished in the color normally associated with Italian sports car and has a beautiful black leather interior. Panasport 14” alloy wheels and a beautiful Nardi steering wheel have been added to this car along with a modern Alpine AM-FM/CD stereo system.
