"Stunningly beautiful" only begins to describe this special 1969 Mach 1 428 Super Cobra Jet. This concourse quality SCJ is the recipient of a multi-year rotisserie restoration that was executed in pains-taking detail. Faithfully restored to MCA Gold Quality standards, NOS or restored original parts were used where possible with limited introduction of reproduction parts.
This rare Q-Code SCJ was delivered new in Hawaii and is one of only 307 "heater-delete" cars. It comes with its Hawaii history including ownership history and original license plates! All fully supported by Kevin Marti's authentication as one of only three Gulfstream Aqua, Traction-Lok, Q-Code Mach 1's. Rear louvers and spoiler were added as dealer options.
Careful attention was shown to maintaining the cars numbers matching status throughout the restoration and includes the original 428 block, crank, CJ heads, CJ exhaust manifolds, carburetor, oil cooler, fan blade and clutch, smog and emissions systems, air cleaner, snorkel, tube and heat shield. Even the vacuum switch is date code correct! Backing up the original engine is the numbers matching close-ratio four-speed transmission with original shifter and 3.91 traction-lok rear.
The all rust-free body is beautifully finished in the correct Gulfstream Aqua, and retains its original sheetmetal including floors and torque boxes. All new or restored interior in white creates the perfect tropical look!
