For Sale: 1953 Buick Roadmaster in Orange, California
Classic Car Marketing, Inc. Southern California’s premier marketing company is pleased to introduce this new listing offered for sale by one of our clients.
This 1953 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon represents the top of the line wagon for 1953, and was the last wood-bodied station wagon mass produced (679) in the United States. This is a fully documented, highly sought after, classic automobile with the original 322 V8 engine, original Dynaflow automatic transmission, and all original drive train. This was Buick’s 50th anniversary and they certainly went all out with this wagon. The Roadmaster is the only Woodie to have come with a V8 motor which was dubbed the “Nailhead” and versions of this workhorse motor was used by GM for more than 20 years. The compactness of this V8 meant that it was possible to lower the hood, providing a better view of the road. With the new engine came a 12 volt electrical system and the Twin Turbine Dynaflow automatic transmission which smoothly transferred power with no shifting. With original wood and all of the chrome redone, this rare example has had only one re-paint and looks as good as she drives. With power steering and original interior this is a good example of iconic automobile history. This wagon has retained its present owner for the past 26 years. Please call for price.
