For sale is a 1966 Pontiac Lemans Resto-Mod. This car has had a frame off restoration, upgrade, and customization. This car is meant to cruise the highways in comfort. See the upgrades and customizations listed below and you'll see what I mean. They are:
* Frame stripped to bare metal, sealed and painted with POR 15.
* Body stripped to bare metal, sealed, all rust repaired, primed and painted
* Engine upgraded to 1969 400 cid Pontiac from Grand Prix bored .30 over built by a speed shop in Illinois. Receipt available.
* Transmission upgraded to a 700R4 overdrive tranny.
* Suspension improvements - 1" sway bar front, 1.25" sway bar rear, box lower rear control arms, stiffer body mounts and bushings. Improves handling corners. No body roll.
* Internal coil spring air bags installed to allow for rear body height adjustments while still maintaining the ride comfort since heavy duty shocks are still used to dampen he ride.
* Disc brake upgrade to front brakes w/dual master cylinder and larger booster.
* Rear end rebuilt (Seals & bearings) w/2.78 gears.
* Exterior paint: Custom Dark Charcoal Metallic
* Interior paint: Custom Red Metallic
* Seats: Front - 1996 Eldorado front seats, Rear: stock bench. All seats recovered in leather.
* Custom console built and covered with oak and leather to match seats.
* Stock shifter used with custom oak cover plate.
* Instruments upgraded to Dakota Digital Rally Gage package.
* Electrical system upgraded to Painless 18 circuit system.
* Custom panels in trunk covered in same leather as the seats.
Riding down the road a 65-70 MPH, the engine is running at about 2100 rpms.
Car was restored and has been a dream to drive for 7 years. It is time to let go to make room for another project and let someone else enjoy this great cruiser.
