1939 Pontiac Silver Streak Sedan
You don't see a lot of Pontiac street rods out there which makes this classic 1939 even more unique. The original all steel 39 Pontiac Sedan body is coated in in a two tone Red with Metallic Silver paint with Turquoise pinstriping. The original visor is still mounted in place and really suits the car well. The grill on these cars always stands out from the crowd and the original style chrome pieces are cleanly mounted in place. Chrome bumpers are in place in front and rear which have a nice shine. Aftermarket turn signals and LED taillights were added but the original front headlights are still there. The original hood latch assembly opened via the front hood ornament and that system is still how you pop the hood today. Any original side stainless trim has been removed but the hood piece has been kept in place. It has a 2 piece front windshield and all of the glass is in good condition with an aftermarket tint. Nice chrome wheels sit under all four corners and are wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires that still have plenty of life left in them.
Turning those tires is the 305 V8 under the hood that starts up smoothly and reliably. It runs well and has been topped with a Billet scoop air cleaner, valve covers, wire looms, Edelbrock carburetor and Edelbrock manifold. It is mated to an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly.
The interior of the car is complete in a two tone Black and Gray that was nicely done. It has bucket seats up front with a bench in rear. Between the seats is a custom center console that mates up to the dash and houses cupholders, the Kenwood AM/FM/CD player and added VDO gauges. White faced VDO gauges are also mounted to the dash as well as a tachometer. The dash is painted Black and nicely accented with White pinstriping. The tilt steering column is painted Black to match and is topped off with a Lecarra steering wheel. The trunk of the car is nicely carpeted and houses the battery.
You don't see many Street Rods out there for such an inexpensive price so whether you are first time buyer looking to get your feet wet in the hobby or an experienced builder looking for the next classic to tinker with, this is one to check out!
