Presented to you is this beautiful 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Rumble-Seat Cabriolet located in Houston, TX. Ford offered two models for ‘36, the 48 and 68 series. This ‘36 Cabriolet is 1 of only 14,068 produced and is a very nice example. A complete frame-off restoration was completed approximately 10 years ago and the car still shows very well. It has the original stance and is finished in period correct Desert Sand with a White convertible top. The brand new Coker white wall tires have less than 10 miles on them and only 8,369 miles have been driven since the restoration. The all metal body is straight with only very minor cosmetic scratches. The body color matching hub caps were popular for this era and finish off the exterior nicely. Open the hood and you will see the original 221ci 85hp flathead V8. Mated to a three speed transmission, this old Cabriolet will really get up and move. The interior is in great shape for its age keeping with the all original feel. Raise the trunk lid and the rumble seat is ready to pile in extra passengers for a road trip. A number of things have been professionally completed on this car to make the driving experience even better for the next owner. A new electronic voltage regulator was installed to replace the original mechanical regulator. A new battery has been installed. The clutch was reworked for better operation. The headlight bulbs and seals were replaced to keep water out. Electric windshield wipers were installed for better operation in rainy weather. The car has new floor mats and the jute padding was replaced. The radiator has been flushed and thoroughly cleaned. A high efficiency Bob Drake water pump was installed. The heat gauge was replaced and the fuel gauge has been repaired. The repairs and upgrades completed on this Cabriolet make this car an outstanding driver.
