Makes like the Packard are quickly disappearing. Production stopped in 1958 so no more are being built and you really don't see a lot of these cars. With the look of this 51 it makes you wonder why you don't see more because they are pretty neat looking classics. A big redesign came in 51 to give the car more squared off bodies and keep up with the other big manufacturers of that time. The front grill on the car is really unique and gives these cars a look all there own. The body is painted Blue and is rust free. This car was originally purchased in Fort Worth, Texas and has only had 2 owners. The stainless and chrome is all in good condition and shines nicely. There is a crack in one of the side windows but otherwise all of the glass is in good condition. If you know Packards then you are probably aware how valuable the original glass and trim pieces are. It has been kept in place due to being rare and original but if the new owner wanted to replace it, it would be an easy fix due to being one of the flat pieces. The original steel wheels are in place under all corners with hubcaps and new whitewall Jetzon Innovation tires.

Being kept factory the original 288c.i. straight 8 motor still sits nicely under the hood and runs extremely well. It is surprising how smoothly this car drives considering it is over 60 years old. The motor is so smooth, you have to double check to mak sure it is running. The motor is paired with its original "Ultramatic" automatic transmission that shifts well. The cooling, electrical, brake, and suspension systems are all the stock set up but all are functioning properly.

The interior is all stock with a Teal colored upholstery with off White piping. A bench seat is in place in the rear with a split bench seat up front. The dash is painted Grey and is topped with all of the stock trim, knobs, switches, etc. The original gauges are there and working properly with 53,261 original miles on the odometer. The trunk houses the original spare and jack.

This cool classic is sure to stand out in a crowd and make a great addition to any collection.
