What makes this car unique is several things that more restored Tigers cannot brag about. This car is fitted with many LAT options. We have known this car for almost 15 years, and the owner I purchased it from told it was from the Colorado area. It is very obvious that this car has never been used in snow or maybe even rain, because it is as rust-free as any car you will ever see. When you open the trunk, you see a bone dry original paint with not even surface rust. Every spot weld in the rocker panels and inner lips of the fenders is present with no indication of any body work ever being done. The paint is older, but still very shiny, and the body is very straight with doors, hood and trunk that click shut. Very nice shut lines. The interior has the original seats, door panels, and console un-restored combined with a new dash, completely rebuilt gauges, new wiring harness, and new carpets. We have had the top up and it is in good, but older condition with a clear rear window and no tears. The car is fitted with the original hard top, and original headliner. Some of the LAT options are the LAT alloy wheels, very rare LAT fiberglass hood (which fits excellent), LAT headers and track bars in the rear. A massive service was performed here at Gassman Automotive, which included but was not limited to, a full wiring replacement and all ancillaries, full brake hydraulic and mechanical rebuild, the addition of a brake booster, as well as an aluminum radiator, proper air cleaner, and many other items. We did replace the intake and carburetor, and tuned the car. I do not know the history of the motor, but the oil pressure is exceptional, and it is clear that a performance cam has been installed. The close ratio gearbox shifts beautifully, and the V8 screams through dual exhausts quickly climbing through the gears to create a very exhilarating experience. This car will make you hope the red light turns red so you can start the process over! Too much fun, and certainly a blue chip car. Since the passing of legendary Carol Shelby, these cars have continued to climb with no end in sight. There are many comps of similar cars that are well into the 6 figures. This car is being offered at an exceptional price for quick sale, and it is our true hope that it will be purchased by someone who will enjoy it, rather than sticking it in a glass box. This is a driver's car! For more information, please call Mike Gassman on his cell # 540-649-3000, Mon-Sat 8:00a-8:00p, Eastern time.
