Engine
Professionally rebuilt 1962 Chevrolet Corvette 327 cubic inch motor
with all GM parts. Chrome Air Gap intake manifold with Edelbrock
carb tops off the engine. Sanderson coated headers feed into the 3”
exhaust with Flowmaster 50 mufflers. The engine sounds amazing when
standing on the outside and the interior is amazingly quiet with
the windows up. Gas is carried through stainless steel lines from
the new powdered coated gas tank.
Drivetrain
The chassis on this classic is as nice as the top side. The frame
has been powdered coated silver vein and the body has been painted
super slick. To complement the engine, a fresh 700R4 spins a custom
powdered coated driveshaft, which twists a Chevrolet rear axle. The
front suspension is dropped by a 3” spindles and QA1 coilovers with
tubular control arms and the rear has dropped leaf springs with QA1
shocks. This car feels like its floating on air. Stopping this
classic is handled through the four wheel disc brake system.
Interior
The Hudson Rod & Custom interior is very classy and top-notch
quality workmanship. Sitting in the driver’s seat, you’ll enjoy
steering this car via the Flaming River steering column and custom
15” retro style steering wheel. Digital Dakota VHX series gauges
helps you monitor the engine performance and speed. The dash
incorporates Pete’s Fabrications inserts and bezels. The electric
windows are controlled via the NuRelics window switches that are
made to look like the old style cranks. All new
rubbers/seals/gaskets help keep the interior quiet and air tight.
The electric trunk switch is located in the ash tray for easy trunk
access. If you are into custom audio systems, this classic has a 7”
touch screen CD/DVD/TV/Radio/Bluetooth unit that can be expanded to
include GPS navigation. Sound is courtesy of the Alpine speakers
6x9’s mounting in the deck behind the rear seats and 5” in the
front custom kick panels.
