Vehicle Description
1965 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door “survivor” with approx. 22,700 miles.6-cylinder engine with steering-column mounted 3-speed manual.
Recent mechanical work (within last 6 months or so):
New clutch, new rear brakes, new fuel pump, battery & transmission work. Needs new ball joints.
Car starts & runs well.
Previous alterations (by others): A radio was installed in place of the ashtray, and the rear shelf was cut to accommodate future speakers for the radio.
Deficiencies:
Interior: Worn armrests and slight cuts in the Vinyl seats and headliner. The plastic handle on the parking brake also needs a replacement. Exterior: a Fairlane hood emblem needs to be installed. Floor mounted gas pedal is missing. There is slight surface rust on the bumpers, and there is a small hole on the trunk floor. The metal around it is otherwise sturdy, and the rust is not developing. Small metal crack at right rear near trunk. Some small areas of bubbled paint at the rear driver side wheel arch.
The car is from Vermont originally, and now registered in Vermont with Vermont plates. Sold as-is. Buyer arranges delivery.
