ranks among one of the most popular British cars for modern
everyday transport. The TR6 was introduced in 1969 with a
re-skinned body versus the prior TR5/250 . More TR6s were produced
by Triumph than any prior TR: over ninety thousand were sold before
the TR6 was replaced by the TR7 in 1976. The last fuel injected TR6
left the Coventry factory in July 1975. This one was built in July
of 1975 and by the serial number we believe only 395 more TR6's
were built after this one.The very last TR6s were assembled in July
1976. After this, TR enthusiasts were obliged to consider the
wedge-shaped TR7 instead (many wouldn't), or an MGB, which became
history in October 1980. But for the separate-chassis Triumph TRs,
it was the end of an era, an amazing period covering 23 years of
the Coventry company's often stormy history. The TR6 was
MANUFACTURED from November 1968 to July 1976.1976 model year
