Just finished.
How it arrived: excellent body with miserable original paint, no rust, bondo, repair, damage, etc. As perfect as exists. Very good floors, even good original chrome. Just repainted in GN29 dark BRG. Beautiful.
Engine: 140-145 psi compression (perfect), 80 psi oil pressure when warm (perfect), no smoke cold or hot (perfect). And runs very well. Has a modern Weber carb, better exhaust manifold, valves are quiet, no oil leaks, can't get much better. Transmission shifts smoothly, clutch seems fine, as good as it gets.
Interior: seats have been redone, new interior panels, fairly new carpets all in a brown/tan color. Very nice. New wood dashboard, after market wood steering wheel, new Sony stereo/CD with USB input, new speakers, 3 pt belts, v.g top and boot cover.
Wire wheels with all new splined adapters, new chrome knock offs, 175/70 radials.
(yes, we have the head rests and they go with the car but thought it looked better with them off. And, too late for the photos...car now has its original sunvisors installed)
