Vehicle Description
The standard Ford continued to use the grille of the 1939 model
with blackout on each side of the chrome center and bolder
headlight surrounds were another tell tale of the changes made from
its predecessor. 1940 was the last year of the 1937 design and its
smaller V8 engine, with an inline six cylinder to be put back into
production the following year. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is
one of the most popular automobiles for making custom hot rods out
of and that still stands true to this day. Early stock car drivers
also used Fords of this era as one of the most recognized racers
amongst all other models. This Ford was also the most recognizable
design and style assimilated to dirt track racing. A rich history
that has carried through the generations, not many vehicles have
the same desire as these do after 70+ years.
This 1939 Ford Sedan Coupe is a shining example of classic meets
hot rod and has seen work completed to nearly every part from the
inside out! The exterior shows well with a great set of wheels to
accent the bold exterior color and wonderfully kept chrome bumpers
on both sides. There is a Weiand Supercharger installed on the 350
crate engine mated to a turbo 350 automatic transmission which
gives you all the get up and go you could ask for! This vehicle
also has a custom interior made for comfort and with a great deal
of the original dash with a couple added gauges, this is a real
cruiser ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. A blown hood shows
off the big blower as it peeks out from the engine compartment, the
dual exhaust is chrome tipped and there really isn't a bad angle to
this ride! A great find for anyone who loves power within a classic
and a good driver, call or email us soon to get more information on
this awesome hot rod!
