This one owner 1973 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up has been in the family going on 43 years. The truck was purchase new by my father in 1973. Although this is a native Michigan truck it has never seen snow and has never been driven in the winter, why, we have no idea. The truck has 24,365 original miles and legal documentation to back it up. The truck has always been garage stored. The vehicle is a standard cab long box 2 wheel drive with a factory 350 ci engine and factory automatic transmission.
In the mid 1980’s we made some slight horsepower improvements with cam, intake, carb, and headers. Some additional modifications moving toward a more modern look of the late 70’s and early 80’s trucks. This included upgrading the side mirrors, bumpers, grill, and the addition of a sun visor. Therefore approximately 80% or more of the paint is original. This truck has never had rust or metal repair. A 43 year old, one owner vehicle is rare, not to mention many of the trucks from this era never made it very long without significant rust deterioration.
After the completion of the updates the truck spent its time in the garage and the summer time car shows, where it did take a few trophies in the modified-original class.
Modifications:
1.) Completion cams .270 comp cam
2.) Dual roller timing chain
3.) Edelbrock carburetor
4.) Edelbrock performer intake
5.) Hooker super competition full tube headers
6.) Chrome engine accessories and hose bradding
7.) Dual exhaust (70’s Glass Pac)
8.) Chrome from and rear bumpers
9.) Chrome tube grille
10.) Tinted windows
11.) Front cloth seats of the time
12.) Windshield sun visor
13.) Tires and wheels
The updates were from the 80’s and early 90’s and reflect that time period. Everything else is as it came from the factory. The vehicle is very solid and truly unique. Owner’s manuals with original purchase date and name also included.
