Classic Car Marketing, Inc. Southern California’s premier marketing company is pleased to introduce this new listing offered for sale by one of our clients. Just reduced to $69,500
What’s better than a Barn Find…perhaps an Airport Hanger Find, originally owned by historical Riverside race car driver Phil Braybrooks. That is exactly where this 1929 Model-A “A-V8” Ford Roadster was found. Originally built in the late 80's to its’ current, late 40’s era, dry lake Street Roadster configuration by ace-engineer, two-time world land-speed record holder & 200 MPH Club Member Butch Philips of Riverside, CA. This Roadster exemplifies an era when they transformed from weekday driver to weekend racer, and is an iconic example of a true American Hot Rod. Since acquiring, all efforts were made during restorations, safety & engineering upgrades, to retain Butch's signature of “stout simplicity”, while preserving the most formative years of hot rodding. Please note that paint, pin-stripe, interior, etc. are original! Powered by a newly blueprinted Stage II NATO (FR) block, vintage 59a Flathead V8 motor, she was engineered ground-up with an all steel body, modern TCI boxed frame, perched on a 4" dropped front axle (w/ Nyoglide inserts), modern rear coil-overs suspended on an indestructible 9" Ford 3.73 rear axle differential, front disc brakes and is now superbly geared for highway use with a T-5 Borg-Warner 5-Speed manual transmission…..Seriously fun to drive.
