For Sale: 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB in Huntington Station, New York

Vehicle Description

1969 FERRARI 365 GTB/4 SPYDER --Blue Scuro with Tan seats with Black inserts, Tan carpeting and Black convertible top, Restored, Spyder conversion by European Auto Restorations, Factory air conditioning, Cromodora 5-stars, Power steering, Documented history by Massini. Completed at the factory, September 8, 1969 in its original color combination of Rosso Chiaro/Nero, it was sold by Motor S.a.s., Bolognas, Italy to its first owner, Mr. Attilio Monti, Bologna, Italy. It was exported from Italy in the early 1970’s. Circa 1978-79 it was converted to Spyder specification by European Auto Restorstions-Mike Sheehan, Costa Mesa, California, well known for their exacting Spyder conversions and restorations. At this time it received $30,000 worth of mechanical restoration by famed engine builder-restorer, Bob Wallace. At this time, it was changed to Black/Tan. In 1982, this Daytona was owned by Leigh Belden, Silicone Valley, CA. 2002, saw this Daytona offered for sale at the Bonhams Quail Lodge sale and sold to Mr. R. Simon, Los Angles, CA. In 2003, this Daytona found its was back to European Auto Restorations-Mike Sheehan where it was once again offered for sale. It was subsequently sold to|Mr. P. Littell, Rowayton, CT. While in the ownership of Mr. Littell it received the following service and restoration by well-known Ferrari specialist Frank Buonanno in Connecticut. Work included a mechanical refreshening, Fresh Black paint, top and interior, Refinished steering wheel, New grill, Engine & chassis detailed, New bonnet liner, New rubber trim and New stainless door threshold trim. January 2006 found this Daytona for sale in the Ferrari Market Letter, still owned by Mr. Paul Littell. In early 2007, this Daytona was with Wayne Carini – F40 Motorsports offered for sale. It was purchased by Autosport Designs, Inc. and sold to one of our clients. From 2007 to date, this Daytona has enjoyed collector ownership with several clients well known to Autosport Designs, Inc. It has been used sparingly used and maintained regardless of use or cost. In 2008 and when owned by one of our clients, it was retrimed completely and received 365 GTC/4 power steering upgrade. In 2011, it was treated to a bare metal repaint by Autosport Designs, Inc. to its current Blue Scuro exterior color, all chrome refinished and detailed for concours use. Offered today, this Daytona Spyder conversion is one of the finest available. It is superbly detailed, serviced, ready for immediate use or show and previous owned by well-known collectors. With original Daytona Spyders, currently selling for $2.8-$3.2 million dollars, this properly converted Daytona represents the same ownership for a fraction of the price and some would say a safer investment in today’s market, given restored Daytona Coupes selling between $800-$1.2 million in excellent condition.
