Vehicle Description
This beautiful and rare 1957 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight convertible
has been amazingly restored into one of the finest cruisers you've
ever seen. The 98 convertible holds true to it's roots with it's
stylish and breathtaking 1957 curb appeal but has been updated with
a more modernized drive train which keeps this car as dependable as
a late model car. The body is very nice and straight with excellent
seams and alignment and the red and white paint looks amazing. All
the chrome and stainless are new and all glass and weatherstripping
have been replaced with new also. The interior has been finished in
red and white leather and the padded dash looks beautiful with all
the stainless being polished out to a mirror finish. The drive
train on this car is where it gets really exciting. The original
rocket engine has been replaced with an LS1 fuel injected V8 and
the hydromatic transmission has been upgraded to a 4L60E automatic
overdrive. Other features include power disc brakes, power
steering, air conditioning, power windows, power seat, power top,
wire wheels, and new radial tires. The Oldsmobile drives like a
dream out on the highway and handles the road with ease. This
Oldsmobile convertible is out of my personal collection. It has
been garaged in my private garage as long as I have owned it. I
have driven and enjoyed this car more than any I have built or
owned since I starting collecting in the early 80's. This is one of
the most popular Oldsmobile models and with the addition of an LS1,
overdrive, disc brakes and cold air, just WOW. This car will go
anywhere anytime and looks like a million bucks. Take it to a car
show and people will run over other cars to get to it.
