1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Vehicle Description

Rare 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe.
I am asking $8000 firm.
Go to http://www.yezot.com/1940chev.htm to see more.
Her name is "Clementine".
She is a 75 year old survivor car.
Original engine, runs great, I drive her almost every day.
4 dr, suicide rear doors.
She has original interior, I have put matching cloth covers over it to protect it. The seats have some damage where the driver sits, and some on the top of the rear seat back.
The clock on the glove box door works fine, if you wind it up 1st.
The heater works and has shut off valve under hood.
All the windows work and are not cracked.
Almost any part you need can be found online.
There is a dent in the driver's door, it was there when I got it, it has been there since the 50s, I don't have the heart to remove it. She is in great condition for a 75 year old car.
She won 1st place unrestored at 1st car show.
She has been featured on cover of Chevs of the 40's parts catalog.
All original 1940 sheet metal except running boards.
She has 1950s's style add on turn signals that work perfect.
All new: electrical wiring, generator, regulator, battery.
Brakes, master, wheel cylinders, drums, lines, all springs and screws.
Fuel system, gas tank, lines, fuel pump, sending unit.
Paint freshened up only enough to stop surface rust.
New tires, "Coker Tire" with 4" wide white walls.
All new exhaust system.
Around 2500 miles have been put on her since new parts were installed.
I tried not to molest it too much; I tried to only replace what needed to be done to make her a safe driver.
She has just been converted to 8V system, with new generator, voltage regulator, and 8V battery. This conversion makes the car start better and the lights brighter.
I was told she was purchased in Pennsylvania by the IRS Revenuers to chase bootleggers. This didn't last long because the bootleggers started using fords with flathead v8s, and the 6 bangers in the Chevys couldn't catch them anymore.
Clean S.C. title.
This car will only be sold for verified funds in person. I will not sell through the mail or internet. Car must be paid for in full with verified funds before I will allow it to be taken. Under no circumstances will I except PayPal, no exceptions.
No tire kickers, serious inquiries only please. I do not want or need anyone's help to sell it either, so you guys leave me alone
