Corvette Disco Corvettes are never out of style. Sure, GM makes new
cars every day, but there's no denying the in-your-face wheel
arches, the great fastback rear window...it's a timeless package.
Description L48 350 ci engine 39,00 original miles Clean paint,
interior Runs and drives great, looks even better. A well-kept,
good looking Corvette! Outside, the largely original finish is in
great shape for its age. Corvettes of this vintage aren't known for
their finish work, and that works in your favor. Those shortcomings
make it plainly clear whether the car has had damage or other
cosmetic work, or if it's original. On both sides you'll clearly
see the bonding strips in the quarter panels, as well as other
telling marks from the St Louis factory. That this car retains so
many speaks to its originality. The original 15x8 steel wheels are
in great shape, surrounded by classic Goodgear Eagle ST tires. The
glass is very nice, the emblems are clean and the minor amount of
trim is in great shape. Inside, the red leather seats have aged
very well. They're supple and vibrant, as are the vinyl pieces. The
carpet is slightly faded, but not out of line for its age and
mileage. The AM/FM/CB radio is a rare option--less than 8% of '79
production came with one. Power windows and locks, the tilt wheel
and more are all in working order and were all optional--Chevrolet
wouldn't make those standard features for another couple of years.
Under the hood is the long-running L48 350ci engine, with 195hp in
1979 thanks to the dual snorkel air cleaner off of the L82 cars.
The valve covers and exhaust manifolds have been detailed, but
nearly every other component here is original or a service
replacement. The car has newer tune-up parts, and it runs great.
The automatic transmission shifts great, the brakes work as they
should (a rarity on C3's) and the car rides great. Plus, with only
39,000 believed miles, it's a car worthy of your time and money! At
the Motor Car Group, we're enthusiasts first. We want you to enjoy
your new car from the minute it's delivered and the trailer door
drops. Before a car leaves our shop, it's gone through
comprehensively, both visually and mechanically. We do more than
just kick the tires, though: We fill your tires with nitrogen, road
test (if the weather permits us here in Cleveland!) and clean it
inside and out. We buff the paint using a three-step process
immediately before it's taken away so that it gleams when it
arrives. Every car we sell, from Sunday drivers through the rarest
exotics, is meant to be driven--get out there! If you have any
questions before, during or after the sale, do not hesitate to
contact us. It's what we're here for! Call us at (440) 914-0000,
write us at
[email protected] or stop by and see the new shop
at 6441 Davis Industrial Parkway, Solon OH 44139. We're 26 miles
from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and we can pick you up when you come
to inspect or purchase your car. We welcome any prospective buyers,
their buyer's agents or inspectors from Monday through Friday
during business hours, as well as evenings and weekends by
appointment. We're car people who love what we do, and you'll feel
it from the first time you contact us. Give the R&H crew the
opportunity to serve you: Our passion and attention to detail set
us apart! Call 440-914-0000 or email
