For Sale: 1939 Plymouth Pickup in Arlington, Texas
1939 Plymouth Custom Pickup With a market full of Chevys and old
Fords a car like this classic 1939 Plymouth really stands out. It
has the same style of those cars with large rounded fenders and
custom grills but you rarely see these cars cruising around. That
makes them extremely unique and a must have for someone that wants
a street rod that won't blend in with the rest of the crowd. Above
all, this classic is being offered up at a very inexpensive price.
It would make someone a really solid street rod that they can
drive, enjoy, and tinker with for many years to come. Coated in a
flat Lavender paint the truck has no issues grabbing attention. It
gives the truck a great custom look and requires a lot less
maintenance than your typical clear coat paint job. Currently it is
free of any pinstriping which is a huge selling point for someone
looking to add their own personal touch to the car. A lot of work
has been done on the truck including smoothing out the running
boards and widening the bed 2 inches. All of the glass is in good
condition and it has a 1 piece vent V windshield up front. The rear
taillights have been frenched and the lenses are fitted with the
old school blue dots. The truck has a slight rake and another touch
of old school is the custom ET wheels up front and Mehelich
cruisers in the rear. 205/70R15-front, 275/50R15-rear. Under the
hood of this classic is a 318 roller cam motor that puts out plenty
of power to get those wheels turning. It is fitted with 360 exhaust
manifolds, Edelbrock intake manifold, Weiand valve covers, chrome
alternator, polished AC compressor, chrome air cleaner, and a
billet overflow tank. Certain components like the manifold and
valve covers have been painted to match the exterior creating a
nice consistent look. Paired with the motor is a 8500 automatic
with OD transmission and 8 1/2 rear end with 2:45 gears. A new fuel
pump was just installed as well as a new rack and pinion steering
system. Other upgrades include the Mustang II front end with front
disc brakes. The interior utilizes dual Grey high back bucket seats
which are adjustable. The waterfall dash is painted to match the
body and is topped with VDO gauges. The tilt column is painted to
match and is topped with a Lecarra steering wheel. With power
steering, AC/Heat and cruise control the truck is extremely
comfortable to drive. An overhead console was added and houses the
AM/FM/Cassette player. This is an extremely fun pickup truck that
would make someone a great street rod. Whether you are a beginner
looking for your first custom or a veteran hotrodder looking for
your next project this pickup would make a great purchase that
won't break the bank. Make it yours for only $25,500.00!
