Reason for sale: ILLNESS.
I have reduced the asking price set with the valuation tools Per Hagerty Insurance Quote of $38,000.00, for this car, as an incentive. The car looks great and the paint(See pictures) is fairly new and it has a long way to go, keep it cover, cover is in the trunk. (See the pictures.)
This Mustang, interior has been 90% restored with the best parts available from reputable suppliers (all available interior restoration receipts are included with the car.)
All parts and accessories were new at installation. All extra parts, which are plenty, will go with the car.
This car has many parts with life-time warranties from part stores. Example: Spark Plug wires, starter, etc. life time by Auto Zone, Pep Boys, NAPA, etc.
This Mustang is as close as possible to the day it came loaded from Ford.
This is a real “50 Anniversary” car since the "GT" option was not available in 1964. Therefore 1965 is the first year of the Mustang GT, it is 50 years old. It is a Golden Car (See pictures.)
NO RUST DAMAGE EVER IN THIS CAR.
THIS CAR WAS RUST PROTECTED FROM FACTORY OR DEALER. IT IS RUST FREE. (See Pictures with the car on ramp and without interior, on bare floors.)
ENGINE: This car ID show that this is an original “A” engine code car, which stands for the 289 V8 220 HP., but the car came to me with the "K" engine installed. Now and for the last 30+ years the power train has been the 289 V8 HP/ HiPo. The engine is in fair condition, no mechanical problems ever, good compression.
This car has never done donuts or burn rubber, I pay for the tires and I care to much for this car to burn it for no reason, but this car can, right now, make 0 to 60 in 7 seconds.
The block, Intake Manifold, Headers and all other engine dress-up and performance parts are in mint condition and can do any of the two versions of the Ford 289 engine; The "A" or the "K" now is "K"
PAINT: Fair,(see pictures, Including closeup of pain samples ON THE CAR
BRAKES: Set as Ford specifications for GT 65. Front manual disc brakes. (Kept as such to protect the originality of the car.) Power Brake is always an aftermarket option. I like this car to remain as original as possible with in reason. The car brakes fine, all brake parts are new. All GT packages from factory included front disk brakes as in this car. Brakes were recently rebuilt from top to bottom. (See Pictures of mechanical recondition included here.)
TRANSMISSION: Due to a failure of an oil seal, all seals on the transmission were replaced recently; only seals were needed, no parts needed replacement. This fix includes a new transmission wiring harness. (6 mo. +/- ago, bill included.) (See pictures)
SUSPENSION: All new, not rebuilt parts, all new to OEM 65GT specifications.
INTERIOR:
All the old interior was removed from the car down to bare metal (see pictures.)
Sound and Insulation materials were added, Carpet, door panels, door handles, front seats, foam and upholstery were replaced with new parts from "TMI" on special order, the best in the market. The rear seat is the original and it could be repainted to original color and specifications. WINDOWS AND LOCKING HARDWARE ALL REBUILT.
SOUND SYSTEM:
Alpine unit w/4/6 Pioneer speakers in the interior and a 300w. Pioneer amplifier W/ a Bazooka 8” Subwoofer in the trunk. (See pictures.)
