Vehicle Description
1947 Ford Tudor
If a 47 Ford is what your after then look no further! This 47 Ford Tudor takes class to the next level by incorporating the perfect combination of originality and customization. From front to rear the car has that level of detail you don't see out of your average build. Constructed by Roger Burman with Lakeside Rods and Rides this classic shares the birthplace of a Ridler winner and some of the most renowned top level customs out there. The body is incredibly straight and the fit/finish is all high quality. The car takes on a Black appearance in certain light but is actually coated in 2006 Audi Charcoal Gray Metallic. The chrome and stainless work has a beautiful mirror like shine and all of the original style trim is cleanly mounted in place. This pairs perfect with the paint and gives it car that classy original style appearance. It even has the original rear fender guards. Adding a mild touch of old school custom to that originality is the Von Dutch flying eye gracing the front bumper. Swan neck mirrors are in place on both drivers and passengers side to increase visibility when cruising down the road. All of the glass on the car is new and it has the two piece style front windshield. The side running boards have been fitted with a rubber coated to help keep them protected from people entering/exiting the vehicle. Radir wheels sit under each corner and are wrapped in wide white wall tires.
The underneath of the car is just as nice as the rest with everything finished out to show quality. With a little detailing, the car would easily be ready to have mirrors placed underneath to show it off. The frame is all painted a 2006 Volvo Ruby Red paint with metallic that contrasts the body color nicely.
Powering the car is a crate 350 V8 that has been built up nicely and accented with all Billet components. The valve covers and air cleaner have been customized with Ruby Red paint to match the frame and interior. The block has also been painted to match creating a very cohesive look. A serpentine belt is in place and the entire engine compartment finished off well. It is more than just looks though because this classic drives down the road very well. Backing the motor is a 350 transmission that transfers power back to the 10 bolt rear end. The car also has a great sound with dual Flowmaster exhaust routed out of the rear.
The interior of the car was completed by Dan Leber and is absolutely beautifully done. People often make the mistake of overdoing certain aspects of these cars so by keeping a simplistic design this car actually stands out far and above the rest. It is all Charcoal leather with Maroon piping and matching Maroon carpeting. Custom small accents like matching seatbelts and matching handle bases give it a perfect look. Dual bucket seats are found up front and are very comfortable. They are power adjustable and sit to each side of a custom center console with billet cupholders. This console also houses the shifter Vintage AC/Heat controls and aftermarket stereo w/remote. This allowed the builders to incorporate more modern comforts without having to modify the original steel dash. A similar approach was taken to the window cranks which look original but now operate the power windows. A billet tilt column sits in front of the driver and is topped with a Banjo steering wheel with V8 horn button. The trunk of the car is finished out with the same style upholstery as the interior and opens via a power trunk release.
This is one classic that has no problems getting attention. It was set up to be able to drive comfortably and show just as well.
