This is the lowest milage SURVIVOR 1971 Chevelle SS/LS5 in the US known to exist. Yes it is a true survivor, never been plated, ALL original, ALL numbers match, engine, rear-end, trans, wheels tires, carb, alternator, distributor, water pump, and most important yes the paint is ALL original I'm sure you now get the picture. I will tell you the short story, a friend of mine got out of Nam in 1971 and ran down to the dealer to buy a Chevelle to run in 1/8 mile super comp. and the only one they had was this overly optioned $3400 over priced Chevelle, over half of the price of this car is LS5 options,(yes the window sticker is still in the quarter window, the original one) and does have the original protecto plate, finance papers and warranty paper, and check in papers. Anyhow, he drove the car 7 miles back to his house and took the car apart and stored everything, engine, trans, interior, bumpers, etc. built a high HP small block and 4 speed and drag raced the car for 2 years, that's the miles on the car. After moving to AZ that next year it went into his garage and covered. I bought the car from him around 10 years ago, I took all the original parts and rebuilt everything, engine ,tran, carb, dist. waterpump, etc. I put about 25 miles on the car in the last 10 years, I start it every month and let it warm up and pull it out of my shop then back in and cover. I don't really want to sell it but I have to thin out my collection.
