The Maverick was originally conceived and marketed as a subcompact "import fighter", intended to do battle with the Volkswagen Beetle and newer Japanese rivals for North America. The Maverick's styling featured the long hood, fastback roof and short deck popularized by the Mustang, on a 103-inch (2.616 m) wheelbase. Most Mavericks featured a straight 6 engine. However, this one has the much desired 302 V8 option. This car is a sleeper in every sense of the word. It's classic styling and unadorned exterior may fool you into thinking it looks like 'grandma's grocery getter', but once you hear that V8 rumble, you'll have no doubt that Ol' Blue packs a punch.
The interior is in nearly perfect condition, as is the exterior. This car is just beautiful!
