Plymouth referred to their all-new 1940 offering as “the low priced beauty with the luxury ride.” The car was lower and wider, had 18% more glass, internal door hinges, twin taillights, a synchronized transmission, sealed-beam headlamps, and a host of other advances. A nut & bolt total build. Horse power was doubled in '40 , from 39 to 84 hp. Little did this Coupe know back then that it would someday be transplanted with a Chrysler descendant Viper 10 cyl power plant with 6 speed transmission. This Coupe commands lots of attention with an estimated 450 hp. and 460 ft lbs of torque to the road. List of features include a multi link suspension, Baer 4 wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, stainless radiator hoses, electric fan, all new chrome front and back, new glass and weather strips, 20" Rev Wheels on Sumitomo Z rated tires, leather interior with suede headliner, leather wrapped steering wheel, Kenwood digital stereo, and Race Pak digital dash setting on a channel frame and steel body. A super nice car for show or go!!!
