1960 was the first year for unit body construction for Plymouth and the final year for the fins introduced in the late 1950’s. The chief designer at Chrysler, Virgil Exner, referred to these as “stabilizers” since they actually actually did have some aerodynamic advantages by providing downforce and moving the center of drag closer to the rear of the car. The history of this Plymouth is known back to the original owner and has been in the hands of the current owner since 1989. The 361 cubic inch engine produces 305 hp and 400 foot pounds of torque with a single 4 barrel carburetor and dual stainless steel exhausts. Stainless steel was also used to replace brake and fuel lines. The interior is new but replicates the original.
