"The year 1958 was the first year of the Impala. It started out as
a model package for the Bel Air but was more impressive. It came in
two different body styles, a convertible and a sport coupe. It had
Impala script, insignia and crossed flag emblems on the front of
the hood, ribbed body sill panels, large chrome air scoops ahead of
rear wheels on the fenders, a competition style deep two spoke
steering wheel with Impala medallions, and Impala script on the
dash. It also had six taillights giving it a distinct look over all
other Chevrolets."

�Owned by a Chevy collector and his wife, this Impala was purchased
in California in the late 70s' and is being sold only because of a
relocation. This example is an nice combination of original, with
cosmetic and mechanical restoration as needed.� Mostly original
with one repaint in 1979, the original engine is long gone and has
been replaced with a rebuilt 60's era Chevy small block, the
transmission is the original rebuilt 2-speed powerglide� The
interior is outstanding, it was redone in the 80's with new seats,
door panels, carpeting, headliner and a refurbished dash.� All the
exterior chrome and trim appear to be original and in excellent
condition. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean with no
issues.� According to the owner this car was purchased with 21,823
miles showing on the odometer and has been driven only 5,355 miles
since.
