Chevrolet 454 SS
"To create the 1990-1991 Chevrolet 454 SS, Chevrolet plucked its
big-block V-8 from the heavy-duty-truck line, stuffed it into a
short-box C1500 Sportside pickup, stirred in performance goodies,
and colored the creation in mean Onyx Black. Thus emerged an
understated sleeper of a pickup, a relatively lightweight
two-whee-drive half-ton packing a monster 7.4-liter V-8 -- that's
454 cubic inches."

The current owner purchased this truck 13 years ago with 34,000
miles on the odometer, it has been driven a little over 2,000 miles
since. This truck started life as a standard 454 SS as equipped
from the factory and was then transformed to the multiple trophy
winning show truck you see here. It received a show quality repaint
in a custom Black Cherry, a highly detailed undercarriage and
numerous mechanical upgrades.� What follows are the details.
