THE ENGINE IS WELL BUILT, BUT SUPER STREETABLE AND VERY EASY TO MAINTAIN. The Chevrolet Monza was a sub-compact four passenger car built from 1975-1980, to compete primarily with the Mustang II. The Buick Skyhawk and Oldsmobile Starfire were the other H body models from GM, but the Monza was the most popular. It was the successor to the Vega. The Spyder nameplate was originally used to designate the 1962-1964 Corvair turbocharged model. The 'Spyder' name was introduced for the Chevrolet Monza in 1976. This package included performance equipment and some small appearance items, depending on the choice of Spyder Equipment or Spyder Appearance, or both. The option designation was consolidated to the Spyder Equipment Package, with both appearance and performance options.
