For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle in Hamilton, New Jersey

Vehicle Description

70 Chevelle convertible. The body is 85 % new. The only original body parts are the doors, trunk lid and the floors. The rest of the body has been replaced with NOS original GM metal. All emblems, bumpers, trim, weather stripping, tail lights, marker lights and grill are also new. Door handles, locks, door hinges and mirrors are new. The doors panels, rug, fat mat underlay, window cranks, still plates, door handles and kick panels are new. The rear seat has been re-upholstered with original material , the front seats are new Scat reclining racing seats with Simpson 5 point harnesses. The dash is a original ss with a custom made insert to house the Auto Meter Phantom gauges, shift light and oil warning light. The steering wheel is billet wrapped in leather with billet blinker and tilt arms. Custom built 6 point roll cage from Pro Street chassis painted to match the car. New B&M shifter. New power convertible top motor, lift cylinders, hoses and fluid. New convertible top with glass back window and new top cover. New Painless Wiring harness and fuse block. The firewall is smoothed and the rear bumper shaved. No A/C, no heat, no wipers. Custom House Of Kolor paint job that flows into the door jams, trunk jam and under the hood. Custom painted SS emblems to match. New Convo Pro Rims wrapped in Mickey Thompson tires and bilstein shocks. Hotchkis rear trailing arms upper and lower with front and back sway bars. Lowered springs on all corners. Front suspension is pretty much stock with all new bushings, tie rods, ball joints ect. Brakes are new, disk in front and drums in the back. Four core aluminum radiator with two electric fans. The motor is a big block 482 Roller. Professionally built, been bored to 4.350 and honed with a torque plate, decks have been squared, mains have been align honed, clevite 77 cam bearings, J&E forged 10.5:1 Pistons balanced, Eagle forged SIR rods with ARP 7/16 bolts, with forged nitrided crank that has oil holes chamfered and balanced, the rotating assembly has been computer balanced Crane solid roller cam, Crane solid roller lifters, heads are large oval port 781 castings open chamber with stainless steal valves roller springs and titanium retainers with 10 degree locks, 3 angle valve job heads have been milled and magged, pc seals, Crane roller rocker arms 1.7, ARP head bolts and main bolts, cloyes true roller timing chain,Crane stud girdles, internals are top of the line. Fluid Damper balancer. Billet valve covers. Custom aluminum oil pan, Lokar dip sticks. The headers are 2 inch with 3 1/2 inch collectors and are Jet Hot coated. Under drive aluminum pulleys with serpentine belts. Billet timing cover and high flow edelbrock chrome water pump. Accell DFI fuel injection with a Jet Hot coated intake. Car was tuned by Job from Turbo People in NY. 400 hp and 600 ft pounds of torque to the rear wheels, on a safe tune. With dyno sheets to prove it. MSD ignition. Car runs on 93 octane with a can of octane booster. New 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell mounted in the trunk, with a aeromotive electric fuel pump and filter. All braided fuel lines from front to back with AN fittings, fuel system can handle 1000HP. The trans is a turbo 400 built by the real Art Car from California Performance Transmissions, it has a 9 inch 4000 stall converter with a trans break and a reverse manual valve body. 3 inch driveshaft was built by Dennys Driveshafts. The rear is a ford 9 inch with 31 spline Moser axles, True Trac posi unit and 4.11 gears. The exhuast was custom made by Mufflex, 3 inch with H pipe and QT electric cut outs, open headers with a flick of a switch on the dash. 2500 miles on build. I have more pictures for serious buyers. Car is garage kept with a cover. You could not come close to building this car for my asking price. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Car is a show winner.
