Vehicle Description
"Perfection." Not a word we use very often here at Art & Speed. But
for this rare and unbelievable 1966 GTO convertible, perfection is
the only word to describe it. Arguably one of the finest 1966 GTOs
in existence, this rare beauty comes with Pontiac Historical
Society (PHS) documentation to support its authenticity.
The rotisserie restoration is truly of the highest order. Every
nut, every bolt has been refurbished or replaced. The craftsmanship
and attention to detail is superior to its original construction
back in 1966.
With impeccable fit and finish, this GTO stands superior to its
competition. Finished in the correct Cameo Ivory with red interior,
red pinstripes and red fender liners, this GTO is truly a rare and
desirable car. On laser straight sheet metal, the finish is
flawless and of the highest show quality. Again, perfection abounds
in every way. Every piece of the exterior is perfectly aligned and
you cannot help but be drawn in by the precision panel gaps and
molding alignment of this car. The attention to detail is simply
incomparable.
The interior of this GTO also does not disappoint. The stunning red
upholstery grabs the senses and will transport you right back to
1966. Straight seam alignment shows the attention to detail. This
car has original GM belt buckles along with original style Pontiac
floor mats. The dash is wrapped in the correct and beautiful
walnut, bringing back the elegance of the day in a very special
way.
Under the hood is equally pristine. You'll find a beautifully
detailed 389ci V8 with 4-barrell carburetor. This car is even
powered by a genuine AC Delco battery. Every hose and belt is an
original GM part. Every clamp is correct. Every finish is correct.
Every square inch is correct...every square inch is perfect. And
the undercarriage detail is of equal finish to the every other part
of the car.
The precise originality of this GTO is complemented by
period-correct Hurst wheels riding on redline radial tires. This
combination works perfectly with the authentic redline fender
liners, a detail that sets this GTO apart.
This beautiful GTO is nationally ranked by the International Show
Car Association (ISCA), and achieved multiple awards at its first
showing in February 2014.
As you can see in the pictures, "perfection" truly is the best word
for this car. It's our pleasure to offer this rare gem of a car,
and it will, without a doubt, be your pleasure to own!
