Vehicle Description

1927 Ford Roadster Pickup


Chassis: Custom made one off chassis with a four piece bolt in wrap around NASCAR type tubular cage which is concealed by the interior. Frame rails are 2" x 3" x .187 wall mild steel tubing. The cage is 1-1/4" O.D .120 wall mild steel tubing and the hoop is 1-5/8" OD.120 wall mild steel. This frame is completely tig welded and very ridged.

Front Suspension: The custom made front suspension uses Heidt's polished Stainless steel rear steer spindles. Custom made tubular upper and lower control arms with stainless steel threaded adjusters. It has a Sweet narrowed polished aluminum rack and pinion with polished stainless inner and outer tie rods. QA1 billet aluminum adjustable coil over shocks have a 10 position dampening adjustment with chrome springs.

Rear Suspension: The rear end is a 1957 Ford 9" with a 410 Currie posi. It has a custom made rear track locator and an adjustable rear four link. The rear shocks are QA1 billet aluminum adjustable coil over shocks and have a 10 position dampening adjustment. The shocks run off of custom made precision bell cranks mounted off the frame rail.

Brakes:
Front: Wilwoods aluminum hubs, 12.25" zinc washed rotors, vented, slotted and cross drilled. Wilwoods black anodized billet four piston calipers. Custom made polished aluminum caliper brackets.

Rear: Wilwoods cast aluminum rear hats, 12.25" zinc washed rotors, vented, slotted and cross drilled. Wilwoods black anodized billet four piston calipers.

Master cylinders: CNC triple master cylinders for front, rear and clutch with balance
bar. Stainless steel brake lines with AN fittings.

Tires and wheels:
Kumho Ecsta X6 tires 265/45 ZR16 on the rear and 205/50 ZR15 on the front. The wheels are polished billet Halibrands 16" X 8" rears and 15" X 6" fronts.

Engine: Chevy small block four bolt main 406 cu. in. 10.5:1 compression, Erson 1.6 roller rockers with World Class heads. It has a Quarter Master low clearance aluminum bellhousing with a 10" flywheel and a Quarter Master 7-1/4"dual disc clutch with a hydraulic throw out bearing. Custom made low clearance oil pan with two side tanks. Edelbrock dual quad intake hot coated, with two 500 cfm Edelbrock carbs., Mallory Unilite distributor, Custom made Sprint Car type headers and turn outs that are hot coated and a CSI billet aluminum electric water pump. Estimated horsepower is 425. The rotating assembly on this engine is extremely light and has incredible throttle response and it sounds as awesome as it runs.

Transmission: The transmission is a completely rebuilt Borg Warner T-5 five speed from G-Force that is set up to handle over 500 ft. lbs. of torque. It has a short throw Hurst shifter with a custom made handle.

Body: The body is a 1926-27 Ford fiberglass reproduction body from Lions Hot Rods. The steel 30" bed is a modified Model A bed from Brookfield Roadster. The paint is base coat clear coat in a metallic gun metal which is a Chrysler color and is tastefully pin striped in just the right places. The steel tonneau cover is powder coated in a black hammer tone to simulate vinyl. The tonneau cover and billet hinges are all custom made along with the roll pan. The tonneau cover hinges up to access the rear storage compartment and allows access to the rear suspension and the two Optima batteries. The tail lights are flush mounted in the back of the body above the bed and almost disappear until the brake lights come on. The steel grill is a 1929 Model A that has been chopped and sectioned. The headlights are 1934 Ford commercial with built in turn signals. It has Stewart Warner gauges, an Ididit steering column, a Lecarra steering wheel and a custom made Griffin aluminum radiator. Includes custom made Califorina Custom car cover.
A 2009 14" enclosed dual axle trailer is also available.
