The BOSS 302 is truly an American racing legend. Originally introduced in 1969, the BOSS 302 was purpose built to race and dominate the Chevrolet Z/28 Camaro on SCCA Trans-Am road courses. While the Z/28 race teams were able to hold off the 1969 BOSS 302, this was not the case in 1970 when faced against the race car offered for sale in this listing - the legendary 1970 BOSS 302. Lead by driver Parnelli Jones, the 1970 BOSS 302 dominated the Trans-Am series in 1970, making the BOSS 302 an American racing legend, and galvanizing its reputation as the meanest Mustang ever built. The BOSS 302 Mustang truly offers an unsurpassed combination of power, superior performance, and great handling.
