Vehicle Description
1940 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery
With the creation of the Sedan Delivery businesses rejoiced.
Suddenly the idea behind the business coupe was taken a step
further with a much larger cab and an exterior panel that almost
acted as a billboard! The days of traveling salesmen have obviously
changed as time has gone on but this style of car still has a HUGE
following in the classic car world. There are clubs dedicated to
Panels only and they have become a favorite of custom car builders
throughout the world.
This beautiful 40 Chevy Sedan Delivery has a great look and is
among the more rare panels because of the early year. In fact, only
613 of these cars were produced in 1940 and there is no telling how
many of those still exist. The car has undergone a complete body
off restoration and is completely rust and damage free. The body is
coated in a deep Burgundy that looks great and makes for a great
base should you want to add your own custom advertising to the
side.
Powering up the car is a 350V8/330hp motor with a Turbo 350
transmission and Ford 9" rear end. Other components include the
Mustang II suspension, rack and pinion with power steering, power
brakes (disc on all 4 wheels), air conditioning, and an AM/FM/CD
player. It runs and drives incredibly well and would make a nice
addition to a collection
A real gem at the low price of $36,900.00!
This car is located and being represented for a collector in the
Seattle, Washington area.
