Vehicle Description
1947 Ford Custom Tudor Arguable one of the coolest decades for cars
had to be the 40's. Cars started getting faster and the look
drastically changed. Suddenly the completely separated fenders were
more fused into the body, giving the cars a more streamline look.
The humpback body style became popular as you would see in a lot of
old mobster movies. These cars were cool. This 1947 Ford is no
different having one of the coolest looks out there. The car was
extremely well done and looks much more luxurious and sleek
nowadays than it was back in 47. The steel body is coated in a PPG
Black Jade pearl that was really laid down right. Black is a color
that not just your average painter can do. Care has to be taken to
make sure you get that deep mirror finish everyone loves. Better
than the Black paint itself is how it looks with all that chrome.
This car has a combo of original trim and aftermarket chrome to
really set it off. Down the side is very clean stainless that is
all straight and in great condition. The front grill is very unique
on these years and this one is accented with some nice chrome trim
that has a great shine. The hood and deck have been shaved and are
incredibly smooth. The headlights and taillights on the car have
been frenched in which drastically change the look. That is the
type of nice professional work you will find on this car. It was
all body off restored to be one of the nicest out there. This car
has an awesome appearance rolling down the road and turns heads
everywhere. It sits on beautifully polished Billet Specialties
wheels (15x7-front, 17x8-rear) that are wrapped with fresh low
profile Cooper radial tires. This car was featured in Northern
Rodder magazine (12/03 issue) which you directly on our website. In
addition it has won multiple awards including a Street Rodder Top
Ten at Goodguys Kansas City in 2004. This car is very dependable
and has the drive train to back up that statement. It was
constructed with only the best so not only will it last but it runs
extremely well. The 406 V8 small block packs plenty of power and
sits perfectly under the hood. The dart II heads are topped with
finned billet valve covers that match the tall polished air
cleaner. All of the other components are billet as well or nicely
polished. All of the brackets are polished with all hoses nicely
routed. Other performance parts include the 10.5 to 1 forged
pistons, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, HEI ignition, and
Block Hugger headers. The power brake booster is painted to match
the car, as well as the entire engine compartment. Power steering
is also in place which utilizes rack and pinion steering. Disc
brakes have been added up front with drums still in rear on the
Ford 9" rear end (3:50 gears.) A Mustang II front suspension is in
place which is a top of the line unit that works perfectly under
this style of car. The Turbo 350 automatic transmission shifts nice
and smooth and utilizes a 2400 stall converter. The interior of the
car is beautifully done and looks like it belongs in a modern
luxury vehicle. It is all done in custom tan leather and is in near
perfect condition. The carpet looks like new and hardy even seems
used. The split front Buick Grand Sport bench is very comfortable
as is the custom built rear bench seat. The dash of the car is very
cool and all custom. It is coated in leather as well and is all
nice and tight. The Vintage AC blows cold and the vents are all
nicely inset into the dash. The black faced VDO gauges all work
just as they should with no problems. An Alpine AM/FM/CD/IPOD
player has been added and delivers a great sound. The tilt steering
column is painted to match the leather and is topped with a billet
specialty polished steering wheel. It is also equipped with power
windows. You will never find another 47 Ford quite like this one!
You won't find another one this nice for only $56,500.00!
