For Sale: 1996 Jaguar XJ in Carey, Illinois

This is an amazing and simply gorgeous condition Jaguar XJS convertible finished in white with tan leather interior. There is virtually nothing on this example that is not simply immaculate. The best way to describe this Jaguar is to pretend you are in, say, 2005 and you are buying a well-kept certified 1997 Jaguar from the authorised dealer. This is the very end of the XJS model so it had all the engineering and design improvements incorporated. These were the best of the best. This is a meticulously maintained 31,000 mile example that has resided in Florida a good part of its life. She has been enthusiast owned for the last number of years and never driven in inclement weather - it is without a spec of rust anywhere. Everything works completely as it should and as pictures show, is in immaculate presentation. The most recent owner was incredibly meticulous having a "no bars hold" attitude to maintenance, service and repair. Mechanically the car is in fantastic shape with no outstanding issues. Just a quick look under the hood is testament to how well this XJS has been maintained. She drives accordingly. The 6 cylinder DOHC 24 valve XJSs are actually the better model as they drive smooth and effortlessly and easy to maintain. Body and paint is excellent. Very shiny and consistent with hardly a minor chip anywhere. Mounted are near new Michelin tyres in their correct 225/60-16 size. These are mounted on factory correct Jaguar alloy wheels in excellent shape. The spare is the factory original Pirelli P4000 on its original rim and never mounted on the car. The interior is absolutely a stunning aspect of the car with virtually no wear. The factory carpets are excellent as is the convertible top inside and out. The leather is stunning with only a scuff on the driver seat bolster which can easily be colourised, the dash is like a new one and the mahogany wood in excellent condition with virtually no cracks or damage. The burl walnut ski-slope is in top condition. Mindful of the incredible condition of the interior, have a close look at all the buttons and switch gear; they are all in excellent condition. Even the factory leather steering wheel is like a 5 year old example. All simply amazing. She is also a non-smoker car so clean and sweet. Not much more can be said but to invite you to take a close look at the many, many photos of this great Jaguar convertible. Truly an immaculate example, I am sure you will agree.
