This 1971 Pontiac Firebird is a really nice and really clean car
that we recently took in on trade from a repeat customer. This is
what I would consider and very nice driver. He owned the car for
the last 5-6 years and always kept in stored inside. It was used as
a summer cruiser for him. He purchased the car restored and enjoyed
it but drove it very little. He had his mechanic do a fluid change
and tune-up before he sent it ti us. It runs awesome and drives
great!! The body is clean and straight. He could not tell me how
long ago it was restored, but when it was restored the car was
repainted in its original color of Cardinal Red and the Black
stripes were added on the hood for the cool factor. The paint still
looks nice with some minor imperfections here and there that you
can see when you get up close. The chrome and trim look original
and are nice. The underside is extra clean and solid with no rust
issues to be found. The trunk and floors are solid and appear to be
all original including the quarters.
The interior is in excellent shape. It is difficult to know if the
interior is original or restored. I believe it was restored because
of how nice it is. The seats, carpet, headliner, door panels, dash,
and dash bezel are all in great condition. The headlights,
taillights, brake lights and turn signals are all working. The
gauges all work (It has some nice Autometer gauges installed). The
horn, windshield wipers, factory radio, and heat all work on this
car.
Mechanically this Firebird is top notch and it runs and drives
excellent!! The engine is a mildly built 5.7L 350 V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. It has upgraded
Pontiac 4X Heads, a mild cam, Aluminum intake, HEI ignition, and
Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb. It has the factory exhaust manifolds with
a beautiful custom Flowmaster Exhaust. It also has a Heavy Duty
radiator with newer hoses and a newer alternator. It has the Turbo
350 Automatic tranmission that shifts great and a 10 Bolt rear axle
with 3.08 gears. It is sitting on a nice set of Pontiac factory
Rallye Wheels with Cooper Cobra Tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
