Chevrolet C10. This classic Chevrolet pickup combines traditional
truck styling with a 383 stroker V8 under the hood and a lowered
stance that gives it a more aggressive appearance. Built with a
combination of performance upgrades and driver-focused
modifications, this C10 offers an opportunity to own a classic
Chevy truck with some added muscle. This sweet ride is painted in a
light blue with matching interior.
Under the hood sits a 383 CID stroker V8, bored .030 over, which
was installed in 2018 and has accumulated less than 2,000 miles
since installation. The engine features performance cylinder heads,
ceramic-coated headers, and a recently installed Edelbrock AVS2
carburetor. Power is sent through the original TH350 automatic
transmission. Additional updates include new fuel lines and a new
battery, while the fuel tank has recently been drained, flushed,
and cleaned.
The truck features power steering and front disc brakes, providing
some welcome conveniences behind the wheel. Its lowered stance
comes from a combination of suspension modifications, including
2.5-inch front drop spindles with 1-inch lowering springs. Out
back, the frame has been C-notched and is paired with 3-inch
lowering springs and 2-inch lowering blocks, giving the C10 its
distinctive 3.5-to-5-inch drop.
Inside, the truck retains its original-style bench seat, keeping
some of that traditional Chevrolet pickup character. Dynamat has
also been installed beneath the carpet to help with sound
insulation. The air conditioning components are present; however,
the system is currently not operational and will need a new
compressor and vacuum lines to be put back into working
condition.
This 1968 Chevrolet C10 offers classic square-body-era Chevrolet
appeal, a 383 stroker V8, and a lowered custom stance. With its
performance-oriented engine combination, original TH350
transmission, and a number of mechanical and suspension upgrades,
this truck provides an interesting foundation for someone looking
to enjoy or continue developing a classic Chevy pickup.
