Fully restored 1979 Dodge W150 4x4 with Palomino trim. This truck has been totally stripped down, cleaned and painted. Dodge introduced the W150 series to slightly bump the GVWR to 6,050, just past the standard 6,000 GVW half-ton. Because the W150 bypassed the new incoming federal pollution restrictions, Dodge was able to continue utilizing high-performance V8s.

The original engine was too costly to rebuild so opted to insert a 360 LA engine from a 1980 Dodge Pick Up with consistent compression and good leak down tests on the valves.
The transmission was rebuilt by a reputable company in Red Deer, Alberta in summer of 2025. They resealed the original 203 full-time transfer case and reported everything looked good.
Replaced most everything else, seals, U-joints, ball joints, etc. Was able to restore original tilt steering column. Added an auxiliary cooler as well.
Resealed the air box, instead of trying to use the old A/C parts, ungraded to '80 compressor and rad.
Found remanence of the original stripe package on the inside of front fenders; tried to leave as much as possible. The Palomino stripes are close to the original, looks great.
Unable to match original fabric on the seat, but SMS had a similar fabric that suits the Palomino style.
