Check out this exceptional 1955 Buick Special Riviera 2-door hard top (Model 46R). Subject to an older restoration, this beautifully presented deep burgundy and tuxedo black 2 toned pillarless coupe captures the absolute peak of mid century automotive design. The Riviera is known for delivering a fabulously comfortable ‘floating’ ride. The iconic 3 ‘ventiport’ front fenders, distinctive ‘Sweepspear’ side trim. bold ‘Dagmar’ chrome bumpers, and wide white wall tires set off the classy design. The paint, chrome and trim are in excellent condition. This Buick runs and drives incredibly well. The original 264 cubic inch ‘Nailhead’ Fireball V8 produces a smooth 188 horse power, and uses a Dynaflow automatic transmission with a variable pitch stator for seamless acceleration. The interior features a remarkable dashboard finished in gloss black with chrome accented gauges and switch gear. A modern Pioneer stereo is mounted under the dash. The split folding front seat and rear bench has been reupholstered and the matching fabrics are carried through to the trunk area. This Buick will turn heads at any car show and has accumulated many trophies. Sold certified and ready to enjoy, delivery is included within Ontario
