Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present 1937 Ford
Coupe. Few prewar American automobiles have the unmistakable
presence of a classic Ford Coupe. The 1937 model year brought
updated styling and a more streamlined appearance to Ford's lineup,
helping establish the design language that would become a favorite
among hot rod enthusiasts for generations. This example takes that
timeless silhouette and combines it with a series of modern
upgrades and performance enhancements.
Finished in Lemon Ice, this Ford Coupe stands out with its
distinctive paint accented by purple pinstriping. The exterior
styling is complemented by American Racing wheels, while the
interior features a gray and purple vinyl bench seat that carries
the color combination throughout the cabin. Additional custom
touches include flush-mounted LED brake lights and a power-operated
trunk, blending traditional hot rod styling with modern
convenience.
Under the hood sits a 350 CID V8 equipped with an Edelbrock
dual-quad carburetor setup and an MSD distributor. The engine is
paired with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, providing an
overdrive gear for highway cruising. Additional engine equipment
includes a 100-amp alternator, headers, and dual exhaust, giving
this Coupe a traditional hot rod appearance and sound. Power is
transferred through a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.50 gears.
The chassis and suspension have also received attention, featuring
a Mustang II front-end setup, power disc brakes, and rear QA1
coil-over suspension. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a Dakota
Digital instrument cluster and Vintage Air conditioning, adding
modern functionality to this classic Ford.
With its eye-catching Lemon Ice finish, purple accents, small-block
Chevy power, and combination of traditional hot rod character and
modern upgrades, this 1937 Ford Coupe offers a distinctive take on
a timeless American classic. There are no invoices supporting work
that was completed.
