Clean CJ-8 Scramblers are proving more difficult to find in nice condition. This CJ went through an extensive amount of work by the previous owner including a full body off tear down refurbishment. Resprayed in an eye-catching burnt orange metallic with 4' Rancho lift and shocks, 33x12.50x13 Wild Counter Radial MT off-road tires wrapped around Cragar 15x10 steel wheels, and KC lights on the front bumper, this vehicle has been updated and upgraded into the ultimate joyride.What meets the eye is great, but what's under the hood is even better. Before it was in our hands, the engine was upgraded from the standard V6 to a AMC 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8 paired to an automatic transmission backed by the Dana 300 transfer case ? a legendary offroading transfer case. The drivetrain was sourced from a low mileage Jeep Wagoneer and refreshed during the previous owner's build. The PO stated he had restored 7-8 Scramblers and new his Jeeps well. Manual front hubs are an extension of the 4x4 system. Extended braided brake lines, Rancho dual steering stabilizer, and the atomic EFI fuel injection system are Car Cave's additions to this beautiful beast. We installed a shackle reversal kit and an upgraded steering shaft to make bumpier rides that much smoother. Perfectly ready to take on any challenge, we built this Scrambler into something we would want to drive.Climb into the Corbeau seats on the CARR side steps. Upgrades have been made into the interior as well. A Sony MEX-N4200 supports AUX, USB, AM/FM radio, and Bluetooth connection, pumping out the beats through the Pioneer speakers. An aftermarket locking center, a painless harness set up, and rear bench seats add touches of convenience and of comfort to this wild vehicle.Car Cave recently performed several upgrades and comprehensive maintenance and upgrades on this vehicle. We installed a new brake booster, upgraded master cylinder, extended brake lines, brake calipers, and wheel cylinders; replaced the steering arms, installed the front shackle reversal kit, front lift shackles, a tie rod replacement, and alternator belt; replaced the transmission filter and gasket, installed floor plugs and temperature gauge, repaired the ignition cylinder; and Red Head steering box, installed castor, and assembled leaf springs and shackles.
