Built around one of the most recognizable silhouettes in hot
rodding, this 1932 Ford Roadster brings traditional open-air
styling together with a colorful custom finish and a familiar
Chevrolet V8 drivetrain. Its low windshield, exposed front
suspension, and unmistakable '32 grille give it the attitude
enthusiasts have admired for generations. Finished in Dark Red
Metallic with Pink Metallic accents and a matching Pink Metallic
frame, this roadster makes a statement without losing the character
that made the Deuce a hot rod icon.
The car features a fiberglass roadster body paired with a steel
hood and traditional 1932-style grille shell. The deep metallic
paint is complemented by carefully placed Pink Metallic accents
that tie the body to its painted frame. A chromed front-end
assembly adds brightness and draws attention to the mechanical
details beneath the nose. Fifteen-inch Weld Racing wheels complete
the presentation, giving the Ford a classic street rod stance with
a distinctive custom personality.
Under the hood is a Chevrolet 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 with
engine suffix TKL and block casting number 3970010. This casting
has long been familiar to small-block Chevrolet enthusiasts, and
the engine is equipped with a Holley Street Dominator intake and
four-barrel Holley Double Pumper carburetor. Lokar throttle
linkage, headers, a chrome alternator, and billet aluminum pulleys
contribute to both performance and appearance. An electric cooling
fan adds a practical modern touch to the traditional V8
installation. Together, these components give the Roadster the
straightforward mechanical character that has made
small-block-powered hot rods so popular.
The V8 is backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic
transmission, delivering power to a Ford nine-inch rear axle. The
combination of a Chevrolet small-block, TH350 automatic, and Ford
nine-inch rear end is a well-established street rod formula, valued
for its familiar components and uncomplicated driving experience.
It is equally suited to a casual cruise or the trip to a local car
gathering.
Beneath the body, the chassis combines independent front suspension
with rack-and-pinion steering and a four-link rear suspension.
Coilover shocks at both ends provide a more modern suspension
arrangement, while power front disc brakes add welcome braking
assistance. The chromed front suspension components contrast with
the Pink Metallic frame, giving the underside visual appeal that
carries through the entire build.
Inside, the Gray bench-seat interior offers a simple, inviting
place to enjoy the road. A retro-style AM/FM radio with auxiliary
input provides music without distracting from the vintage
character. For additional versatility, the car includes a removable
Gray cloth soft-top carried on a fixed frame. This arrangement
provides an alternative to fully open driving while preserving the
Roadster's classic profile.
This Ford is best appreciated as a custom-built street rod rather
than an original-steel restoration. Its fiberglass body, Chevrolet
drivetrain, modern suspension components, and distinctive colors
are all part of its personality. A clean New Jersey title
accompanies the car, adding an important practical detail for its
next owner.
With its iconic 1932 styling, Dark Red and Pink Metallic finish,
exposed chrome front end, small-block Chevrolet V8, Turbo 350
automatic, and removable soft-top, this Roadster has the look and
mechanical simplicity that make traditional hot rods so enjoyable.
It is a distinctive Deuce built to attract attention and be enjoyed
from behind the wheel.
