1970 Ford Mustang Boss for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to
present this exceptional iteration of American muscle, this 1970
Ford Mustang Boss 302 represents an iconic moment in automotive
engineering and Trans-Am racing history. Finished in striking Red
(Paint Code T - Red Candyapple Red) over a classic Black Vinyl
Bucket interior (Trim Code BA), this example displays an impressive
24,151 miles on the odometer. According to its door data plate and
buck tag, this vehicle was manufactured in September 1969 (09/69)
at the Metuchen plant (VIN: 0T02G109560), equipped with
the legendary high-revving 302 cu. in. G-code V8 engine paired with
a 4-speed manual transmission (TRNS Code 6) and a 3.15:1 standard
axle ratio (AXLE Code S), originally ordered through the Buffalo
district sales office (DSO 37). Showing option codes including
power brakes (PB), rear spoiler (RS), rear window louvers (SL/RM),
color-keyed dual racing mirrors,power steering and high-performance
equipment, this Boss 302 remains a highly detailed and correctly
optioned specimen.Historically, the Boss 302 was designed
by Larry Shinoda specifically to homologate Ford's entry in the
SCCA Trans-Am series to challenge the Chevrolet Camaro
Z/28. Featuring free-breathing Cleveland-style
solid-lifter heads on a rugged Windsor block, heavy-duty
suspension, and front disc brakes, it was
engineered as a true road-racing weapon rather than just a
straight-line drag racer. From a collectability
standpoint, the 1970 Boss 302 is widely regarded as one of
the most desirable first-generation Mustangs ever
produced. With only 7,013 units built for the 1970 model
year, pristine factory-correct examples boasting low
mileage, matching body/tag codes, original G-code
drivetrain specifications, and classic iconic colorways
hold enduring value as cornerstone pieces for serious classic car
collectors. Your inspection is invited!
