This 1984 Jeep CJ combines the unmistakable character of a classic
open-body Jeep with a long list of off-road, comfort and appearance
upgrades. Finished in a distinctive satin silver, it has an
aggressive stance created by its lifted suspension, oversized tires
and black Mayhem wheels with contrasting red accents.
The Jeep is reportedly powered by a 304ci V8, although the exact
engine displacement should be confirmed before publication. A
manual transmission, dual-range transfer case and newly installed
clutch retain the hands-on driving experience expected from a
traditional four-wheel-drive Jeep. A dual exhaust system gives the
V8 an appropriately muscular sound.
Up front, a heavy-duty off-road bumper carries a Smittybilt XRC
9,500-pound winch, roller fairlead and recovery shackles. The
grille has been upgraded with an American flag insert, while modern
LED projector-style headlights improve the front-end appearance and
nighttime visibility. A matching off-road rear bumper, rear-mounted
spare and retractable side steps complete the functional exterior
package.
The satin silver body is paired with a new gray soft top featuring
tinted side and rear windows. Matching soft doors include clear
lower panels, helping preserve the open-air feel while providing
additional protection from the elements. Wide fender flares cover
the 35x12.50R20LT Open Country tires, which are mounted on black
20-inch Mayhem wheels with red detailing.
Inside, the Jeep features a refreshed black interior with
supportive front bucket seats, a rear bench seat and a center
console with integrated cupholders. The dashboard retains the
classic Jeep layout while adding auxiliary oil-pressure and voltage
gauges, heated-seat controls and a JVC Bluetooth stereo system. A
full roll cage, mounted fire extinguisher and Hi-Lift jack further
reinforce the Jeep's trail-ready presentation.
This is a bold, customized classic Jeep with V8 power, a manual
transmission and the equipment needed to stand out on the street,
at a cruise-in or during a weekend off-road adventure.
