Zoom Classic Cars presents this Custom 1947 Ford Custom Coupe
Street Rod. A magazine-cover car with unmistakable street rod
appeal, this beautifully built all-steel 1947 Ford was featured on
the cover of Canadian Hot Rod magazine in 2013, a notable
recognition of its distinctive styling and presentation. Finished
in a striking custom Dupont "Pistachio" green paint scheme with
professional pinstriping and a complementary gray leather interior,
this Ford turns heads wherever it goes. Originally acquired from a
New York estate with just 37,000 original miles, it was transformed
into the distinctive street rod it is today. Following an extensive
mechanical restoration, it has traveled approximately 21,000 miles
and proven itself to be much more than a pretty show car. It is a
dependable, enjoyable driver with plenty of regional and
long-distance touring experience. Power comes from a Chevrolet
350ci V8 paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive
transmission and Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.23 gearing.
Mustang-style front suspension, custom sway bar, 2-inch dropped
spindles, power rack-and-pinion steering, and 11-inch power front
disc brakes provide confident road manners. Additional conveniences
include cold-blowing air conditioning and a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo
with Bluetooth connectivity. The all-steel original Ford coupe body
features a custom louvered hood and a beautiful Dupont "Pistachio"
finish completed by Coastal Custom in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
Exceptional professional pinstriping complements the paint, while
the chrome and stainless trim remain in very good to excellent
condition. The paint presents extremely well overall, with a few
minor imperfections as shown in the photographs. The cabin was built
for comfort and features excellent gray leather power bucket seats
sourced from a 2002 Chevrolet Impala, along with air conditioning,
power windows, electric windshield wipers, tinted glass, and a GM
tilt steering column. The trunk compartment is exceptionally clean
and solid, with a full-size spare tire and battery cleverly fitted
inside a vintage luggage set.The undercarriage is clean and solid,
complemented by a great-sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides
on 15-inch painted steel wheels with chrome trim rings and Ford
chrome center caps, measuring 6 inches wide up front and 8 inches
in the rear, wrapped in Diamondback wide whitewall
tires.Beautifully presented, mechanically upgraded, and road-tested
over approximately 21,000 miles, this 1947 Ford offers an appealing
combination of timeless styling, V8 performance, modern comfort,
and genuine street rod character. Its Canadian Hot Rod magazine
cover appearance adds another interesting chapter to its
history.Whether you're looking for a distinctive weekend cruiser, a
proven long-distance touring car, or an attention-getting addition
to your local show circuit, this Ford is ready to be enjoyed. The
car is currently stored in Massachusetts and comes with a clean
title in the owner's name, along with extensive build
documentation, including receipts for parts and recent
maintenance.Don't miss the opportunity to own this magazine-cover
