As production of the venerable Dodge Viper drew to a close in 2017,
Dodge marked the finale of its storied V10 supercar with a series
of exclusive final edition models. Chief among these was the GTS-R
Commemorative Edition ACR, whose distinct Viper White paint and
sweeping blue racing stripes recalled the beloved 1998 Viper GTS-R
GT2 Championship Edition. Additional special touches included a red
"Stryker" badge decal, GTS-R badging throughout, and a special
serialized plaque on the passenger side dashboard. The
Commemorative Edition ACR was limited to just 100 total examples,
each distinguishing its owner as one of the most devoted Viper
connoisseurs.
This example is the 84th Dodge Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition
ACRs produced. Its accompanying original window sticker exposes a
considerable list of desirable options in addition to the rare
Commemorative Edition package, with total appointments exceeding
$44,000 alone. These are headlined by several ACR packages that add
an arsenal of performance and aesthetic enhancements including an
SRT hood, ten-setting manual adjustable suspension, 19x11- and
19x13-inch ACR Gloss Black wheels, and enhanced aerodynamics-which
are further magnified with the Extreme Aero Package. The ACR
Interior Package incorporates High Grip Alcantara Leather seats, an
Alcantara steering wheel, and other special touches that
delightfully contrast its Viper White and blue livery. Additional
special options include the Exterior Carbon Fiber Package as well
as Brembo Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes with Red calipers.
According to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this example
was delivered new to Nielsen Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in East
Hanover, New Jersey, and subsequently sold to its first owner in
Michigan. The car remained on the East Coast most of its life with
regular maintenance and a steady accrual of mileage reported,
before relocating to Orange County, California in 2024.
Showing 10,189 miles at cataloging, this 2017 Dodge Viper GTS-R
Commemorative Edition ACR offers an especially compelling
expression of America's homegrown V10 supercar. Its naturally
aspirated V10 and six-speed manual alone deliver a visceral,
driver-focused experience that has defined the Viper for its entire
25-year run, yet is made even more capable through its host of
desirable factory performance packages. As an exceedingly rare
special edition from the Viper's final production year, this car is
a compelling acquisition for the most dedicated Viper enthusiast,
or for the discerning collector looking to complete their stable of
America's most celebrated high-performance cars.
