Charged by Luca di Montezemolo with marrying the elegance of a
luxury grand tourer to performance that would eclipse the F40,
Ferrari's engineers answered with the 599 GTB Fiorano, a
front-engined Gran Turismo Berlinetta named for its 5,999-cc
displacement and for the Fiorano test track where Maranello hones
its cars. Beneath its flying-buttress bodywork rested a V12 drawn
directly from the Enzo supercar, and with its new F1-Trac system,
the 599 successfully lapped Fiorano a half a second quicker than
the F40.
According to its digital window sticker, chassis 153552 was
finished in Rubino Micalizzato over Beige leather and was
dispatched to Ferrari of Houston. The original buyer added nearly
$48,400 in options; chief among them were the $18,550
carbon-ceramic brake system with aluminum-painted calipers,
monolithic 20-inch wheels, carbon-fiber Driving Zone, and Scuderia
Ferrari shields. The specification continued with full electric
Daytona-style seats, leather seat backrests, contrasting burgundy
piping, an upholstered headliner, rear parking sensors, an
electrochromic mirror, and Ferrari iPod integration.
The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows the 599 spent
its early years registered in Nevada, where it remained under two
owners until 2014. During that time it was serviced most often by
Ferrari of San Diego, with additional visits to Ferrari Maserati of
Salt Lake City in 2013 and 2014. In 2014, the 599 joined its third
owner in Miami Beach, Florida, who retained it for more than twelve
years.
The Ferrari joined the consignor in 2026, and the odometer now
reads 9,784 miles. It is offered with its owner's manual pouch and
supplementary books, its original tool kit and tire inflator, and a
fitted Ferrari car cover. Dressed in its deep, seductive shade of
Rubino over warm Beige leather, and equipped with the options
collectors seek most, chassis 153552 remains a remarkably fresh
example of Maranello's Enzo-derived V12 grand tourer.
